YDN Audience category auto setting for campaign conversion released

Dear customer,

Thank you for using Yahoo! JAPAN Ads.

A new method became available on campaign conversion from YDN to Display
Ads (Auction) to advance effectively, as previously announced in
"Display Ads (YDN) Audience category auto setting for campaign conversion
(Document Number: APIE-FY20-2037)". Please see the following details.

 Display Ads

2. Effective date:
 July 1, 2020 (Wed)

3. Overview:
 Audience category setting for campaign conversion from YDN to Display
 Ads (Auction) has changed as follows.

 [Before]
 The newly created Display Ads (Auction) campaigns have no Audience
 category setting ("None") when converted from YDN.

 [After]
 When an Interest category is set for the ad group in the pre-converted
 campaign, an Audience category similar to that category will be set
 automatically.

 * After campaign migration, the settings of Interest category will
  be deleted. 
 * This change will be applied to Yahoo! JAPAN Ads Display Ads API.

 Therefore, the effort to manually set the Audience categories after
 the campaign migration is reduced, and the conversion to the new
 format campaign can be performed more efficiently.

4. Note:
 Please make sure of the following points when you use the enhanced
 feature and confirm the setting changes after campaign migration.
 
 [Audience category set automatically]
 - The Audience category that will be set automatically may not match
 the original Interest category completely, a similar Audience category
 will be set.
  
 - Even if the Interest category name and Audience category name match,
 the distribution tendency may change because the distribution logic
 is different.
  
 - If there is no similar category, the Audience category will be
 "None" (no setting). This may increase the number of ad delivery
 targets before the conversion of the campaign.
  
 [Bid adjustment]
 - The bid adjustment rate for Audience category will be set as "0%".
 The bid adjustment rate setting set in the Interest category is not
 carried over.
  
 [Parent-child Interest categories]
 - In the Interest category, if the category structure has a
 parent-child relationship, you can select both parent and child, but
 in the Audience category, you can only select either parent or child.

 Therefore, if both the parent and child categories are selected in the
 Interest category, only the Audience category that is similar to the
 parent will be set automatically.

 Please see the release notes for example settings and mapping
 tables for the Audience category.
