Enhancements on Display Ads (Auction)

Some enhancements will be made on Display Ads (Auction). Please see
the following details.

 2-1. Reporting feature:

 2-2. Bid strategy enhancement, campaign conversion enhancement
 April 8, 2020 (Wed)

3. Overview:
 The following new feature and enhancements will be made to Display Ads
 (Auction).
 
 3-1. Reporting feature:
  Reporting feature will be added to the Campaign Management Tool of
  Display Ads.

  Performance report feature that has been provided on Display Ads (YDN)
  will become available on Display Ads (Auction), it will enable
  advertisers to complete operations on the new platform efficiently.
  
  * This change will affect on the campaign management tool only, d
  oes not affect on Yahoo! Ads API.
   
 3-2. Bid strategy enhancement:
  Following two enhancements will be made on bid strategy of Display
  Ads (Auction).

  (1) Bid strategy status
  Campaigns created on the new platform with "auto-bidding (tCPA)"
  setting will have a bid strategy status that shows "learning" etc,
  on the Campaign management tool and Campaign Editor for Display Ads.

  Note that the bid strategy status will become available on campaigns
  created on the new platform.
  The status information will not be available on Display Ads (YDN)
  campaigns created on the former Campaign management tool.

  More details about the status information will become available on
  help pages after the release date.

  (2) Change of auto-bidding setting option
  Setting option on "Auto-bidding (tCPA)" will have the following change.
  Setting auto-bidding that should have some conversions during the
  specified period will become available without conversions.

  [Before]
  It requires 15 or more actual conversions during the last 30 days by
  campaign.
    
  [After]
  It will not require a conversion by campaign that has auto-bidding
  setting.
  Even on creating a new campaign, "auto-bidding (tCPA)" will be
  selectable.
    
  Note that we recommend you to set auto-bidding (tCPA) on the campaign
  that has many conversions to you use bid strategy more accurately.

  Changes on API service are as follows.
  - API version: Yahoo! Ads Display Ads API v1
  - Changes: Related fields will be added on "CampaignService".
  * Details will become available on the reference document.

 3-3. Campaign conversion enhancement:
  Campaign conversion from Display Ads (YDN) to Display Ads (Auction)
  will change, campaigns with following ad distribution types will
  become available on campaign conversion.
  * "PC Brand Panel" is available for specific advertisers.

  - PC Brand Panel (static image, video)
  - PC Brand Panel (Dynamic Ads for Display)

  Note that when converting campaigns with ad distribution types above,
  it requires to specify the placement list that only "toppage.yahoo.co.jp"
  has been added.
  
  Since "Placement list ID" will be added to the CSV file for converting
  that is used by CampaignMigrationService, please get this new CSV file
  for your migration after the effective date.
